Penguin
feeding
One of the most popular events, see the penguins being fed by a
keeper and learn all about them. Feeding presentations every day
at 11.00am and 3.30pm. You can even feed the penguins yourself for
an additional £29.95. Please phone 01420 22992 to book at
least one day in advance. (We regret only one person can feed the
penguins per session and children must be over 7. Public feeding
sessions are not available on Thursday mornings).
Heron
Theatre
A real must for all visitors, these shows are both fun and educational.
Our own education team uses some of our young birds raised at Birdworld
performing natural tricks, as they would in the wild, to illustrate
the magical world of birds in our own special shows. Regular shows
are held throughout the day. School parties are welcome to book
for shows on a particular topic.
Safari
Rides
A special ride through the park to meet some of our larger inhabitants
including vultures, cranes, emus and ostriches. The keeper will
give a commentary, giving you some interesting facts and letting
you know which is which. Train times are shown in the park.

Animal
Handling on Jenny Wren Farm
Your chance to get close to some of our new arrivals. Youngsters
love having the chance to stroke and sometimes hold some of
these farm babies. Sessions are held daily (weather permitting)
and there is of course lots to see in the farm itself, which
is open throughout the day.
Underwater World
Journey downstream past tanks representing Tropical Streams
and Mangrove Forests down to our young alligator swamp. And
on to marine tanks representing sparkling tropical seas.

Owl
Prowl
It's interesting to accompany one of the keepers on their
daily feeding round to feed the Birds of Prey, if a little
gruesome as they are fed dead chicks. The tour gives a fascinating
insight into the various Birds of Prey to be found at Birdworld.
Play
Areas
Plus loads of areas for kids to let off steam!
Puddleducks
Restaurant
During your busy day at Birdworld you can always stop for
a bite to eat at our Puddleducks Restaurant or simply bring
a picnic and eat in the park.
