Denys E. Head Limited and the Environment

As a Company who have worked in harmony with the environment from our very beginnings many years ago, our consistent aim is to lessen the impact that our businesses have on the environment. We achieve this through the careful treatment of our waste and the monitoring of our material consumption and energy. We aim to constantly review our standards and practices to achieve a sound balance between our business practices and the environment.

The Company provides the means and training guidelines for all of our employees to play an active role in ensuring that we work towards this goal.

Some of the main areas that we take careful consideration to ensure that we minimise environmental impact are by;

  • Reducing landfill, by maximising recycling or re-using waste materials from all of our areas.
  • Reducing the consumption of water by efficiency of use, awareness of leaks and recycling within our operations and requirements.
  • Reducing the consumption of energy by a diligent approach to its use.
  • Working with the Business Eco Network, funded by SITA, under the landfill tax credit scheme, to establish a waste reduction system.

The Company are proud to have been recognised for many of its efforts and its commitment, past and present, by our peers. We were a finalist in the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) 'Sustainable Business Awards' and 'Highly Commended' in the Surrey Sustainable Business Awards for Environmental Improvement.

If you would like to know more about our commitment or would like to support our activities, then please ask one of our Team Members for further information.
