Ideal as a gift or a treat for yourself
The ultimate experience for an animal lover, the ‘keeper for the day’ experience is designed to give people a real understanding of the work involved in looking after animals at Birdworld. It includes activities such as feeding, cleaning enclosures and animal enrichment along side our keepers. You can join either the Aviculture team if Birds are your thing, or if you prefer the Farm team will welcome you at the Jenny Wren Farm for a fun filled day.
Due to the hands-on nature of this experience, participants of 'Keeper for the Day' must be physically fit and suffering no severe health problems. For insurance purposes, the scheme is only available to those aged sixteen years and over. Wheelchair users can be accommodated by special arrangement. Please contact us for details.

| 09.00 - 10.30 | Join a section keeper to help feed the birds |
| 10.30 - 10.45 | Coffee/Tea break with keeper |
| 10.45 - 13.00 | A mix of food preparation and incubation room work |
| 13.00 - 14.00 | Lunch time. (Unaccompanied). At this time your afternoon guest is welcome to join you |
| 14.00 - 15.30 | A Period of afternoon feed rounds, waters or cleaning out |
| 15.30 - 16.00 | Help with penguin feeding |
| 16.00 - 18.00 | Enjoy the remainder of the day exploring the park at your leisure with your guest |
