Birds

IBR can help you to find its owner. The service is only for pet birds of prey with jesses or rings, not wild birds:

Birdworld is regrettably unable to take in any injured wild birds. We can recommend the following wildlife rescue charities, who help with rescued or injured native species:

HART – Alton, Surrey, GU345JF
01420 562335

Harper Asprey – Windlesham, Surrey, GU206UL
01344 623106

Wildlife Aid – Leatherhead, Surrey, KT220AL
01372 360404

Birdworld is unable to re-home all exotic birds needing a new home, though where we are working with a species we can sometimes accept donations to help with our breeding programmes.

Support

First, we have a couple of questions for you:

  1. Does the work of your organisation or registered charity clearly support or relate to our own mission?
  2. Is your school or community group within a 20 mile radius?
  3. Can you supply a registered charity number or letter of authority?

Please email your request to Admin@Birdworld.co.uk.

The process

  1. Only one donation will be allocated to successful organisations in any twelve-month period.
  2. Applications need to be made at least 60 days prior to your event date.
  3. Successful applicants will be notified by post.

Unfortunately, as we receive a high volume of requests, we are unable to respond to everyone. If you haven’t heard back within 28 days, then your application has not been successful on this occasion. We hope you understand our policy on this matter.

Play

Two new play areas are being created in 2025. The outdoor play area will open in summer 2025. The indoor play barn is due to open for Christmas 2025. Check out the latest here.

No. The indoor play barn has some similar features, such as being warm and dry and a padded area for babies, but is not strictly soft play. Here’s what to expect.

Rules

No. Within the Park, it is a smoke and vape-free zone to provide the best possible atmosphere for visitors of all ages, workers and, of course, birdlife.

No. After safety trials and consideration, we no longer permit bikes and scooters, or any other vehicles self-propelled by a child like pedal cars, ride-ons or scuttlebugs.

While Birdworld is a Park, it is also home to 1000 vulnerable birds and offers a safe space for children to play.

Registered assistance dogs are welcome at Birdworld, but not family pets. Assistance dogs have to adhere to the highest health, behaviour/training and welfare standards as set out by Assistance Dogs International and the International Guide Dogs Federation.

It is essential that we are able to guarantee such standards, to fulfil our biosecurity regulations as part of our Zoo Licensing requirements, and this is why we do not permit access to animals not registered with one of the organisations listed here.
