Wild African Penguins live along the south-western coasts of Africa. They eat fish and use their sharp beaks to catch hold of their slippery prey. African Penguins are currently listed as an endangered species, due to threats such as overfishing and ocean pollution.
Birdworld’s African Penguins arrived in May 2011, when Penguin Beach was first opened to the public. They’ve quickly become firm favourites with Birdworld Visitors, entertaining everyone with their hilarious antics.
